With a view to better align investment practices within Fiera Capital Corporation’s (TSX: FSZ) (“Fiera Capital”) private markets investment management platform, Fiera Real Estate and Fiera Private Debt are pleased to announce the integration of Fiera Private Debt’s Real Estate Financing team into Fiera Real Estate Canada, effective March 28, 2022. This newly combined team will be under the responsibility of Pierre Pelletier, Head of Real Estate Development and Financing – Canada, and report to the Global Head of Real Estate.
This integration provides an exciting opportunity to build on both teams’ successes, create synergies, and further optimize the efficiency of our operations to continue creating sustainable wealth for our private and institutional clients. As a result, Fiera Real Estate Canada will now provide a broader service offer in line with the organization’s strategy.
“As we continue the globalization of our operations, combining these two complementary teams will allow us to leverage their respective strengths and expertise while strategically positioning our offer in the real estate asset class, thereby enabling us to provide greater value to investors,” said John Valentini, President and Chief Executive Officer, Fiera Private Alternative Investments.
As announced at the end of 2021, Richard Cousineau, Senior Vice President, Real Estate Financing, Canada will be retiring on March 28. To ensure the continuity of operations during the transition period, he has accepted to chair the Investment Committee of Real Estate Financing while continuing to provide operational support to the team, as needed. “On behalf of the organization, thank you, Richard, for your invaluable contribution to the success of Fiera Private Debt over the last 13 years. I am confident that what you have built will continue to evolve in this new structure,” added Jean Gamache, President, Fiera Private Debt.
A task force comprised of key leaders from both Fiera Real Estate and Fiera Private Debt has been established to plan a seamless transition and ensure the continuity of operations.
